When shopping for the perfect hot tub, your spa dealership experience will be a crucial one. You will first need to visit to get a feel for the hot tubs on the market today. Walk around and note the differences between models and manufacturers. You will not be able to decide on the size and type of hot tub you really want until you see them for yourself up close. Once you have narrowed down your search, you may want to try one out – most dealers will have a couple of hot tubs operational and ready to be tested. The only problem with trying out one of these trial tubs is that it may not be the same model, or even the same manufacturer as the tub you are truly interested in. Still, it is better than not to at least get into a tub and take note of key features like seating and jet placement.
Keep in mind that spa producers offer every seating and jet configuration that you can imagine so don’t’ be overwhelmed. Look for portable hot tubs that the right type seats for you whether they be loungers or uprights. Next, pay attention to where jets are positioned and what parts of the body they target. Jets can be pulsating and spin and even sweep up and down or side to side to massage different parts of the body. Remember that the power, location, and motion of the jets can be more important than the total number of them so don’t be mislead by promises of hundreds of jets!
A well maintained hot up will last for many years with little problems if taken care of. Manufacturers will usually offer some sort of limited warranty that covers different parts of the spa for different lengths of time. Warranties are usually too comprehensive however so do a little research and make sure that you are buying from a reputable producer. Some brands such as Master Spas have been around for a very long time and have great ratings and warranties. Hot tub accessories however are seldom covered.
