7.    If still ammonia is not effective, make a solution out from vinegar or lemon juice and salt and apply over the stains and let it set for few hours. Repeat the dabbing procedure as stated above until stains are completely removed.

1.    When the stains are still left on the carpet, you can also use cream of tartar and mix this with small amount of water, just enough to make a paste-like solution. Then, apply over the stains and set it for a few hours. After, brush the crumbs or dab using a towel soaked with cool water.

I found a radio that can act as a clock/radio most of the time, but will broadcast weather alerts when they come along. It was not too expensive and is one of those things that will really give you peace of mind.
